Ebanned has duplicated My Used Panty Store

12 Feb

In case you have missed on the latest used panty world shenanigans, I’m happy to sum them up for you.

Ebanned has duplicated My Used Panty Store, not the other way around.

This is not a merge nor its a take over, ebanned has simply copied an existing established used panties site.
Only, ebanned seem to willing to charge you $55 per month for the privilege of having store, plus a whopping 8% on sales commissions.
My Used Panty Store charges nothing to set up a unlimited store and 4% commission only on sold items.

Honesty, for $55 per month, I’ll design you a bespoke website, maintain it, update it, and pick your kids up from school if you ask me nicely.

Having been a buyer from ebanned for sometime (prior to MUPS I hasten to add) I don’t think it will ever truly compete with MUPS. For a start ebanned isn’t a community and as far as I am aware has little or no moderation. Also as a UK buyer, ebanned only has a handful of UK girls (from my experience) so will never be able to match the offerings from MUPS.
The girls I have had dealings with on MUPS aren’t just in it for the sales, they like to chat and have fun, something I doubt that ebanned will able to match. Any girls who choose to defect I believe if they are of the MUPS mindset would soon come back.

Just my thoughts, probably of no consequence but there they are.

    Hello All,

I’d like to give my input. Obviously, everyone can speak for themselves and is entitled to their own opinion. Personally though, I think this has become a more complicated issue than it needs to be. I first found out about this because I was sent email from people asking me if ebanned and My Used Panty Store were merging. When I checked on why I was getting this question, I was pointed to ebanned’s new store area. It is very obviously confusing since there are buyers and sellers who visit both places. Was this done purposefully to confuse people? I saw the ebanned response here before it was taken down and they said that this wasn’t intentional – just a business decision. Fair enough, it would be nice to chalk it up as an unfortunate coincidence. However, it isn’t difficult to see how this might be an issue in the community and I would hope that intended or not, site owners will do what they can to avoid confusing people. Ebanned hadn’t had a stores area in the 10+ years they’ve been in business, and their site colors/brand has always been pinks and pastels. MUPS starts up a couple of years ago, and the majority of the panty sales that were happening at ebanned have moved over to MUPS. Next thing you know, ebanned drops their forum software and replaces it with the software used by MUPS. A few months later, they put up a stores area using the same software that MUPS uses, and instead of matching the theme to the ebanned site which seems a reasonable thing to do, they choose a theme and colors that match the MUPS site instead of their own. The software both sites are now using has several built in color schemes/layouts that can be chosen with a click of the mouse. In addition, the themes are easily customized and there are many, many available for free or purchase. I choose the colors/template I did because it matched my site perfectly. These colors couldn’t be any further from ebanned’s pink and pastels. If ebanned didn’t mean to copy the MUPS site or to confuse people into thinking that their stores had something to do with ours, then it seems a simple fix of this problem would be for ebanned to change their stores area to look like the rest of their own site instead of looking exactly like MUPS as it does now.

Serena shared with me the email/posts sent to her today and I’d say the fact that she didn’t post them here was doing the sender a big favor. They are of the type that most would regret sending after they reread them with a cooler head. There really shouldn’t be anything personal here. MUPS wasn’t built with the forethought that it would eventually change where people bought and sold panties, it was built simply to provide fun and interaction previously unavailable to the used panty community. In the process, we ended up creating a better mousetrap. MUPS had an advantage of ten years of technology advancements, and has the advantage that the site isn’t used as a source of income. We charge a few pennies commission when things sell so that the site makes just enough to cover the hosting and maintenance costs to run the site. Other than that, everything is free. So, the used panty community now has a choice – they can sell and buy at MUPS with all the social networking goodies, free video chat, free video IM, profiles, photo/video/sound galleries, free stores, free features, free photo hosting, free video hosting, no insertion fees, fraud scrubbing of sellers and buyers, round the clock moderation and customer service, and the only charge on the site is a few pennies when you sell something, or they can sell less and pay significant fees for much less elsewhere. It is a no brainer and people shouldn’t be blamed or shamed for choosing the best value.

Ten years ago, people used to pay big money to view porn, now it is offered for free. Times change, it is what it is, what can you do? It is a land of opportunity, anyone can create their own MUPS, but if you are going about it as a money making venture, it is not going to be easy to find many people willing to pay you for it while I am down the dial giving it, and more, away for free.

Serena is a volunteer who gives her time and expertise without compensation. She, the moderators that volunteer on the site, and the site members are not to blame for MUPS’ existence and don’t deserve to be pelted by angry email and posts from those who feel put out by MUPS being online. If anyone has a question/problem with MUPS you can talk to me – support@myusedpantystore.com

Terri has no coconnes? it sounded like Mary and not Bart, what an example they set. Mary is Bart’s partner
I left ebanned after I discovered my used panty store and never looked back. I urge decent people to do the same because their *CHEATING* will reflect bad on them too

  4. Luke 20 February, 2011 at 3:33 pm #

Sums up and proves what kind of cowboys ebanned are, in case anyone needed more evidence that is.

  5. Serena 20 February, 2011 at 3:23 pm #

This really sadden me, but it shouldn’t surprise me. You see, people with no ethics, do unethical things, like pretending to be someone else for example.
Or maybe, just maybe, they think everyone else is stupid, because they are. Or maybe, just maybe, they don’t have cocones!

Bart @ ebanned, my friend, I have deleted Terri comment, because your IP tells me that Terri is you, so you don’t get to tell us SHIT since you wont allow anyone to respond to posts about MUPS on ebanned forums. Whats fair its fair right?

  6. Serena 20 February, 2011 at 9:47 am #

Hi terry, nice to meet you. They are using the same software, and they are also using the same look & feel, which is what gets me really – ebanned had 100’s and 100’s of different look & feel to chose from, the one they picked does not go with the ebanned brand, but it does fit with MUPS brand.
So why choosing a template that does not match your own brand but someone else’s when you can actually have one that does fit you?

I know a little something about business myself since I am in the digital design business, and you know what, I figured there are 2 types: the typo of honest business that goes the extra mile to be original and NOT to look like their direct competitors, and the other, the lazy corporate business who spy and copy their direct competitors to make things easier and quicker for themselves.
The ethical behaviour of businesses can often be measured by the way it treats their competitors.

Its obvious that MUPS members are concerned about the ‘similarities’ between the 2 sites, and yet, you as an ebanned representative, are coming here to tell us all to ‘shut up and take it’. That Terri, its commercial bullying.

You see, we like to go to sleep at night with a clear conscience, which is where the difference between ebanned and MUPS ultimately is.

Comment from Terri has been deleted because Terri was Bart, owner of ebanned, hiding behind a fake name and email.

By blatantly copying MUPS layout, do Ebanned seriously think that their members will confuse them for a decent site!

    It is absolutely disgusting!

  9. Penelope 19 February, 2011 at 10:21 pm #

When you first start out you want to sell to everyone, everywhere! You want to offer the world. Soon your morals kick in, you are signed up with 20 sites all full of certain kind of buyers and sellers and you realise that its NOT about making money, its NOT about getting hits on your site or getting 20 hits on your profile a day.

You look for the other refined buyers and sellers that do it for the kicks, that simply LOVE the fetish. Once you figure that out, IF you figure that out, other panty selling sites fall to the way side to MUPS.

If you think about all the things you want from a used panty site, there really is no better place. Communication, Dedication, activity, Hot ass REAL sellers, fair prices, great people, support.. now im sorry but why would you want to invest time and love in other places when they cant give you anything back?

I like knowing that if i have a problem I can message PK or Serena, If i see a dodgey profile, I can send a link to Crimson and tell her something looks fishy.. there are people DEDICATED to the site to make it the home it is.

Sami – sooner or later you will either make it or break it, but if you truly love selling used items, MUPS will be the first and last URL you tap into your browser of a day because the people on there, the panties, ALL of it.. is addictive :)

“I am super excited for them to open!” -Sami the Clown

Ask and you shall receive. It opened three years ago Sami – it’s called My Used Panty Store.

  11. Serena 19 February, 2011 at 7:26 pm #

OK WOW people, I’m not approving any comments with insults from ebanned, to ebanned, about ebanned.
ebanned has plenty of decent enough sellers ( I know a few myself) so the name calling makes you look sad, please avoid.
No one is questioning the quality of ebanned girls, their panties, their vagina etc. The unquestionable matter of COPYING is whats been bothering MUPS members.
So unless you have anything relevant to say about the COPYING part, don’t bother.

  12. Luke 19 February, 2011 at 7:06 pm #

$5 for 25 items would be an OK deal if they voided the remaining fees. The point Serena is making, is that ebanned is copying my panty store, and yet Sami fails to comment on that significant point.

  13. Nikki@mups 19 February, 2011 at 7:03 pm #

Yes it is still a copy of my used panty store

    Shame on you ebanned

Not even for free I would

  14. Penelope 19 February, 2011 at 6:41 pm #

The place is an absolute Joke. Ebanned offer no support no mothing, the owners are off spending there millions from idiots who pay them. Ebanned is an EPAIN in my neck!

  15. Minxy 19 February, 2011 at 6:40 pm #

How convenient! The part about ‘copying and duplicating mups’ seem to go unnoticed. How convenient.

  16. Serena 19 February, 2011 at 5:01 pm #

Its still a copy of My Used Panty Store no?

  17. Sami 19 February, 2011 at 2:26 pm #

The $55 is for the ‘featured store’ where you can list 100,000 items at anytime (who the heck would list that much, I have no idea!). The basic store is only $5 a month for 25 items. They are still in the testing phase but I am super excited for them to open!
